Denial’s Demise
When her bags are all packed, what say you then,
as she’s leaving?
Pretend you tried each and every way you could?
The years of pleas for couples counseling…
oh, I suppose you’ve forgotten,
it was you who kept refusing to go.
Your successes will continue on, and
of this I am certain,
you’ll lose little to no sleep adjusting to your new life.
But when the truth finally brings its demons,
how deep will it burn,
when you’re forced to confront each and every

horrid
one?
